Sorry, Xxx_hedshotz_xxX, but you can no longer attack my mother’s virtue. Now, 11 years after its 2009 release, the Modern Warfare 2 campaign has received a modern remaster that ups the visual quality and removes the multiplayer components. I was a huge fan of the campaign in the first Modern Warfare, but my online experiences with that game turned me off from the sequel entirely. That being said, Modern Warfare 2 is one of the first entries that I didn’t play upon its initial release. I still managed to pick up a few installments over the years (the first Black Ops, Ghosts, and WW2), but as the series drifted towards a multiplayer-focused experience and had their single-player campaigns feel tacked on, I more or less stepped away from the franchise. It’s not that I’m inherently against multiplayer, but hearing 12-year-olds talk on a mic about how they’re going to have sexual relations with my mother isn’t exactly my cup of tea. I played through a lot of the earlier games, but primarily showed up for the single-player campaigns. My history with the Call of Duty franchise is messy and inconsistent.
